My flowers get a bunch of friendly honeybee visitors - just for my own curiosity, anyone know if there’s a way to find out where they might be based? Maybe a registry of beekeepers or something? I have zero reason to know, really, but why not find out if I can?

Free product suggestion for streaming music services: let me enable a setting that excludes kids’ songs from the suggestion algorithm. Sure, my toddler wanted to hear the wheels on the bus five times, but I could live without it in my own mix.

(And yes I'm ignoring any later canon on that reference)

"Elevated downstream 5xx errors" is a both a really handy thing to have monitored, and also, it's kind of...

Over the last few years some friends and former coworkers of mine have been chipping away at remastering the Telltale Sam & Max games, after buying the games and assets from Telltale when the company died spectacularly in 2018. We did a physical release last year which I got to do all the design work on, and I finally got mine and opened it today... It turned out way better than I was expecting. (I didn't expect the little cardboard inserts for each layer!)

The Playdate is cool I guess but what I really really want is for the Pantscast app to come back.

I promise all my posts aren't just going to be about image tagging grievances, but... if you're going to maintain images with semver tags, why not also push each release tagged with the minor/major version as well? Pushing 1.1.7? Also tag and push it as 1.1 and 1.

If you created your account a long time ago, you may be seeing Mastodon's advanced web interface (multiple columns). That interface has not been the default for years now. You can control which one you see from Preferences.

I'm pleased to note that even, my Mastodon server where the only letter you are allowed to post is "e", has seen increased activity in the last few days.

Thanks Eeeeelon!

Of course switching to distroless isn't really drop in, if you depend on things like HEALTHCHECK

On the very slim chance you use envoyproxy/envoy-alpine anywhere in your stack, you should know they quietly dropped support for Alpine in favor of Distroless.

To have known about this change, you'd have to have followed every commit to their repo. They sure didn't announce it anywhere else, including on dockerhub where the now-discontinued image lives on, growing increasingly out of date.

Oh man oh man oh man oh man -- the Ingenuity Helicopter on #Mars swung over and took a view of the backshell and parachute used to land Perseverance on Mars! It is so cool what we can get up to when we have a little drone accompanying our rovers. #JPL #Mars #Astronomy #Perseverance #Space #Science

Wordle is in the bottom third of the NYT games. Spelling Bee and the crossword are way better “one a day” word games.

Legitimate question, does anyone sell a cable management solution that comes with an exploding dye pack for when a cable is unexpectedly removed? My office desk needs to know.
